Clipped above the ceiling and most likely you just push gently forward on them to release the tension, then move them sideways and down to get them out. Most likely it will have a quick disconnect, but if not, just wire the new light like the old. Only 3 wires. No other tools besides wire strippers will be needed. Post pics once you have it out of the ceiling at least.
