I kind of blame Reyes. If he got the job done he would have had the optics of a strong champion and opened the door to stronger contenders sooner.

Jan won, took time off, fought a MW, took time off and Glover held the contender spot because he had the right matches at the right times (Smith and Santos top 5 wins). It kind of helped him navigate the stronger contenders. I think the division would have looked wicked stacked if it was a 8 man tournament for the vacant belt. The way it unfolded really didn’t determine the best fighter and is more about timing for both Jan and Glover. Both deserved the shots they got I’m not objecting to that. I just think the way the rankings are siting it reflects more poorly on the rest of it being “weaker”.

I enjoy WMMA and I kind of see your point but I think you need to work on your timing in this case.

Negative. It happens so infrequently, imho, it's statistically insignificant. It makes sense that someone like Glover will be an age anomaly given how infrequent they occur at the highest levels of MMA. For instance, the world of MMA wasn't up ended just because Jon Jones won the LHW title at the youngest age ever... we didn't suddenly have an influx of 21-23 year olds winning titles.
