Heavily favor Burns. Masvidal is so inactive now and even when he is active he barely has a winning record in UFC. Burns is better everywhere.

Gilbert is rightfully the favourite but Masvidal could KO him, would I bet on it? God no, but he could win. Better chance Gilbert submits him with ease though.

Its a bad matchup for Masvidal but its about as good as he can get right now.

If he's on a big money contract, they will only book him in marquee fights to bolster the PPV.

Gilbert is still a legit contender in the division. Masvidal is likely still able to compete in the top 10, but isn't a top 5 talent. There is no real reason to believe he can compete at that level.

I give Mas a chance in this one. Not a favorite by any means but a decent chance. He defended good against Maia and Burns could very well just stand and bang with him.

I've NEVER EVER thought highly of Masvidal. I call him Masbumdal, a journeyman who caught a lightening in a bottle off a couple wins, which aged as badly as any other in the history of MMA.

But, this is a great fight for Masvidal. Burns looked great against Magny, but Masvidal is not the same fight. For instance, Maia subbed Magny in two rounds, but he couldn't finish Masvidal.

Burns is clearly a better fighter, but he can't and won't put the same pressure with his wrestling. His BJJ is a top notch, but Masvidal's sub defense is actually pretty good, so is his TDD. Once again, as good as Burns is, he's not Colby or Usman. Not that that's a knock against anybody.

I know Burns looked great recently, and Masvidal hasn't, but I don't like this fight, because I don't like Masvidal. I mean, what is there to like about a guy who act like a thug, boast about being a great sucker puncher, and ambush his opponent with a group of his buddies or whatever after getting beat down in front of a million fans worldwide? Hope Burns chokes him out in 2 rounds. But this is probably the best win-win fight for Masvidal outside Leon Edwards, so I don't like this fight.

Wish they waited for Shavkat to beat Neal, and then feed Mas to Shavkat. Or I wish they gave Mas to Rinat.

However, my money is definitely on Gilbert. He's a man on a mission.

Jorge, I feel, is just in it for paychecks these days. He doesn't care or train for championship belts.

He should be. Journeyman Jorge’s 15 minutes lasted 14 minutes too long. Those odds will most likely come down a bit. But those guys aren’t on the same level. Casuals will bet Masvidal up.
