I honestly don't feel like Askren getting knocked cold was all that bad looking. The way he went stiff was scary, but the shot itself was more about where it landed than how hard it landed. Had that knee landed on his forehead, Askren would have probably ate it and kept fighting. In no way did it look as bad as when Gonzaga flatlined Cro-cop or when Francis almost decapitated Reem. those were shots that would have ended a fight even if they weren't right on the button.
