See, but that's why I like soccer kicks. When they connect its OVER. There's no confusion or endless punches smacking a guys head off the canvas for 40 seconds+.... when you get soccer kicked you are D-U-N done.

still, if they were legal, tactics for making the most of the rule would develop. mma would become: grappling to achieve dominant position on the floor before inevitably standing up to throw kicks. that would be awesome to see, but asks too much.

 

Eh, no more damaging than being KO'd from any other strike really. Either way, brain damage sandwich.

 

people often say this and it's difficult to disagree, the evidence isn't there. but when you see someone throwing a kick to the floor and landing flush, it just seems to be more dangerous. maybe it's just the shock of seeing it.
