The way he threw Silva around after getting out of the sub attempt was like a dad throwing his son around, anyone got some gifs?

Silva was on wobbly legs - thats why those sweeps worked.

    Uhmm... No

It's a hard technique to pull of. It's used in Judo and Muay Thai and I think sumo too.
Your timing has to be perfect in order to pull it of.
They engaged the clinch and Silva tried to lean on Brown but just as he stepped forward with his right leg, Matt Brown tripped his leg before he could plant it down on the floor.

Kind of compareable to Machida's against Dan Henderson.
I always asked myself why MMA fighters never used more sweeps and trips like this because in the clinch they aren't thinking about their foot position at all. Just pressing forward, but if you do that against a skilld judoka or a thai clinch specialist. You're getting tripped.

Can you get that gif to run about 1-2 seconds a littler earlier. It is hard to see the initial foot sweep

Silva actually litterally did not know the location of brown after that first throw, it was almost like he was looking around to find where brown was.

Comparable to that yes although Silva seemed to go down faster and harder, head hitting the mat

Another bump for some awesome foot sweeps.
