Gif Of Werdum's triangle

    I love seeing that armbar as well. It's just like Werdum isn't taking any chances. Against someone else he might just focus on one sub but this time he needs a back up plan.

    There's a video going around of two Gracies breaking down the triangle, it's quite interesting. They explain that the reason Werdum transitioned to the armbar was because Fedor was pulling back and Werdum knew Fedor's response to the armbar would be to move forward to take pressure off the elbow thus putting himself back into position for the triangle. Tricky but apparently BJJ 101.

    The third gif shows how Fedor was basically free and clear, but for some reason put his arm right back in. (His foot hits the fence at about this time). Fence and Fedor don't get along so far.

    He went right back in, I will never understand unless they are some Russians collecting in Atlantic City and Vegas right now

    Yeah, before he hit the fence he could have easily backed out. I think he planned to keep rotating counterclockwise and either pass guard or just maintain his feet.

    A lot of people bought up the conspiratorial angle. Fedor said the loss was "necessary." Hmmm... :icon_conf
