gi with a pocket

Hey everybody

Just word of warning I was at the Nabjj open tournament and they were not accepting gi's with a pocket. I had an OTM SLC 420 and I had to cut the pocket out. If you want to try your luck and bring a gi with a pocket, you might as well bring scissors to cut it or get ready to have the sports medic cut it out.

I have a blue Shoyoroll w/ a pocket inside near the bottom. Not the Americana, but the blue one prior to that.

The pocket on the OTM has been illegal forever. As far as what the pocket is for..... The gi is called the "420"

LOL I know its been illegal i heard they usually don't trip about it but they did of course, guess I assumed. I was holding my ID in the pocket now I have to carry it while waiting for a match. :icon_sad:

I thought those pockets where for holding mouth guards, and I presumed not comp legal.
I wouldn't even want to roll with people who wore one, just seems like an awesome finger breaker.

Mouth guard and ID pocket. I however prefer t carry M&M candies in mine. May need an energy pickup during those interminable mat waits, and if match is not going well there is always the bribery option, "Dude you have't eatin anything beyond a handful of unsalted almonds and some shaved organic carrots all day. Try out these bad boys, yeah I know they are a little crushed, less aggressive in side control next time huh"
