From the moment I saw a rip-stop gi, I knew I wanted one. The question was, from who? With so many vendors and names out there buying a gi can be a bit.confusing.
It took me a few weeks to pick out the right gi for me. For the longest time I had a gameness gi. It felt like home every time I put it on, so I had to make sure whatever I got could compare. I happened to stumble across Jiu Jitsu ProGear.com - Get your game on!. The selection of gi/kimonos was great. And the prices were the best I had seen for the product they offered.
Within the week I had ordered my new rip-stop gi. They had a great deal running, if you spent more than $110, they gave you free shipping and an awesome gi wallet. Also if you order before 3pm Pacific time they do same day shipping. I had ordered before 3 on a Tuesday and ended up getting my gi by noon on that Friday.
Now about the gi. What can I say? It felt like a part of me that I was missing. The gi fit great. It was so light. I wear an A1 and with my belt in total it's less than 3.3 lbs. For my competition I have coming up that's great. I'm excited to compete in this gi.
The whole gi is very soft as well, which is nice when your rolling for long periods of time. You don't get to hot in it, which helps me keep calm and focused during a roll. But unlike other gis I've seen, this marterial is very thin, but it feels very sturdy. I had a few of the bigger guys wrench and rip on it, but it was solid all the around.
The cut is great for me personally. It's a bit looser than my previous gi, but in a good way. I feel more agile. I have no restrictions in my movement. So the mobility is solid from any position. I can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee, as far as jiu jitsu goes anyways.
The color was very deep, to keep it like new I was told to wash it with some vinegar, but for myself I do like the worn look. When I washed it and dried it in the dryer, it shrunk a little, as they do warn, but it was to my liking. So do be careful. But the color still held very well, just looks more experienced, not so much faded.
Overall this gi feels great, looks great, and is great. Especially for the price. The price was what attracted me to the gi. And people say you get what you pay for, but with this gi you get so much more. Every time I pick the gi up it feels great to hold, just so light and soft.

The Gi I compare it to in the pictures is a Gameness Pearl.
