Hey all! Recently got promoted to a blue belt! Anywho, I was given a belt that was pretty small so i went ahead and ordered a Hayabusa blue belt off amazon, size a3. Im 200 pounds and currently wear a size a3 Gi. The Hayabusa a3 belt fits ok but it seems pretty short when its all tied up. I want to have a longer belt length while i roll so its not so tight.

I heard people say normally you get the belt size 1 up from the gi size you wear, so Im guessing an a4 belt size would fit a lot better?

I guess the only answer is to just order an a4 size and see what i like that fits better and just return the other one. I feel like a little kid in a candy shop on a shopping spree! Im so excited i got promoted! yay lol

I'm 5'11 and 200 and I wear an A4 gi with an A4 belt and it fits perfectly for me as far as long after a super knot

Yeah you don't have to get writing on it. You can even choose the label on them.

That's what I use although I pretty much stuck to no gi these days.

Measure the length of your favorite belt and look for a belt that's closest in length to that. I don't see how this is difficult at all LOL.

Congratulations on your promotion! Try the A4 and keep the other belt as a spare.
