my birthday was this past weekend and we do a gauntlet at our place for birthdays.

rolled for over 26 minutes straight. I wasn't trying any offense just trying to survive!

lolz @ the dude jumping in when another guy had knee on belly

I wonder what u have to do when u earn your purple if thats what happens when people have their birthday lol.

haha that was good. Sometimes we'll do situational sparring like that.

Wer'e doing one next monday. Looking forward to the experience of whooping a guy.

Is that your gym or a Dexter kill room? lol j/k. Looks like fun..great job!

Thats brutal. It kindof sucks when you get a fresh guy jumping in after you're already ten minutes in and they just go at you full speed. good stuff, and happy birthday.

No birthday celebration is complete till you hack up a hooker. The man obviously plans ahead

lol That is our jiujitsu man-cave...

thanks for the birthday wishes...it was fun, way harder than i thought it would be. I had a cold so by about the 3rd guy I was trying to clear my throat so I could breath. I survived the first round with only my instructor tapping me....2nd round not so good lol

The secret is to let the white belts have their way. Just do the bare minimum. usually et on top and then side control and just relax. Gives you better odds of being able to survive the higher belts without injuries

Agreed problem is there was only one white belt and I think he was on speed

I remember when I was a whitebelt I did 8 minutes straight with 4 fresh opponents 2 minutes each. I remember I hurt my my finger during my first roll but didn't want to quit while I was in the middle! I would like to try 10-12 minutes of that type of training! 26 minutes has to be brutal (especially with a cold). Good job surviving for the first round!

my bday was yesterday and we did 5 6min rounds straight. i had a strong fellow white belt, then a former wrestler, then 3 purples in a row. craziness. afterwards they lined up and whipped me with the belts as i crawled from one end of the gym and back. a great day.
