Just here to vent a bit. I'd be full of shit if I said I would stop watching because the stuff that's pissing me off these days so I won't go there.
But the main things that I'm getting real sick of are the whole Conor situation getting a rematch without defending his belt. I personally think Frankie deserves the shot, but either way Conor should be defending the 145 belt, not re-matching Diaz. They could have put some good hype behind Diaz v RDA.
Another point that is annoying me is immediate rematches. I can't stand them although every now and then they are deserved but they need to stop. It's only a matter of time where we're gonna be seeing the same 2 guys fighting 4 and 5 times vs each other.
And this whole interim belt BS. How do you make an interim belt when 1 guy just fought 6 months ago and the only reason he hasn't fought since is because his employer was waiting for a "golden goose" to return to fight him? And the other interim belt gets thrown out there because the UFC brass doesn't have the balls to say no one of their employees. Just me personally but if I was in Jones or Frankie/Aldo and i won interim belt I would drop it in the ring, spit on it and walk out without it just to make a point.
Thanks for listening, I'm going to drink more.

You must be new, or lived in a cave for a few years...

You care too much TS

Just watch the fights

It's a business, they're going to act favorably towards those that make them the most money. They do a lot of questionable things, but special treatment isn't one.

LOL that's what I was gonna post word for word

The UFC 'Brass' is hard to stomach now? Yeah, it's been the same old song and dance to me. This is normal, lol.

Maybe you haven't left the basement before but let me tell you, the more you bring to the table - the more you stand to benefit. Welcome to the real world.

I think the UFE may have made this an interim fight because ...

Jones didn't lose in the octagon. Perhaps they think they may have overreacted, in stripping him. They could have suspended him, and had DC vs Rumble for an interim belt.

So by making this an interim fight it keeps at least one streak alive for Jones. Consecutive title fights, etc.

I'm not saying it's fact. I'm just saying it makes sense to me that they would think this way.

Of course that would also explain why he's not fighting Hunt.

The fighters are independent contractors, not employees of the UFC...if they were, the amount of getting f'd over you see now would be x100. If they were real employers, every thing they do would be a rule and not as flexible just like real work places.

so somehow 'act favorably' doesn't mean receiving 'special treatment' lulz

I know it's been the same old thing for a while, I'm 39 and been watching since UFC 1. But I'm just saying that it's finally gotten to me.

I'm a huge fan of Conor and he gets a shit load of special treatment... in match ups and everything else

Yes, they are the same thing, so what's your point dummy? I said special treatment isn't questionable. 'lulz'

I think the recent UFC decisions are going to end up costing them huge in the end. Bellator should strike now while the iron is hot. The UFC has never been this vunerable to losing their top spot.

Don't be that guy... Since UFC 1. Just don't.

UFC has always done this. I remember this kinda of shit happening during the Tito days. ALthough I was a very big Tito fan back then, nowadays I clearly see how UFC was favoring Tito and couldn't work well with guys like Penn and all the best HW of the UFC at the time. Tito had many favorable match-ups basically made to build his brand while he was champion. While other more talented fighters didn't get the same special treatment, like Vitor Belfort, Wanderlei Silva, Hendo, and Newton.
