Hi guys and gals, I came across some great information. I have Comcast and don't receive Fuel TV through them, it isn't in our channel lineup for my area. I am able to access it via On Demand but it miss all the UFC programing and fight nights. I recently called Comcast to address this issue. When you call you need to get to technical support and ask to file a request. They can do this, the tech support rep I had discovered it and she didn't even know this was possible. They can file a request from your account for a channel lineup change or addition. She said to get a ton of people to request it and Comcast tries to serve its customers, so with enough requests it could be added. I'm in the north burbs of Chicago so hopefully this works and we can get Fuel TV in our area. And to those not near by hope this helps you get it in your area.
oddly enough im in the same area as you but i have dish network.. no fuel... like most at this point most of the fuel cards are pretty bad anyway.
Im near DC also with Comcast and called a while ago and asked about fuel and HDnet and they said they would make a note of it but nothing will happen unless a ridiculous number of people start calling asking for those channels.
The thing that irks me is though after the fact the cards have been meh, I still want to see the content if I'm paying for it and they're being offering the channel through on demand, just no UFC content.
Imagine people, if that is in the US you can imagine outside of it, they (cable operators) dont have the least idea about Fuel, or anything for the matter. hint: internet!
directv has it. fueltv also replays old cards from fx. it even has its own programming that shows pride fights and other fights.
Don't just ask them for the channel. Ask the phone operator to specifically make a note in the system inquiry log for that channel to indicate you want that channel. They might be too lazy to make a note that could eventually go to the decision makers. I asked to make a note in the HDNet inquiry log many times, and still don't have HDNet/AXS back. In the meantime, other HD channels were added that I don't watch.
yeah no the fuel cards have been highly entertaining. I guess if you only like big name fighters but the fuel cards have featured some of the best young talent in the sport. Plus they usually have a main event featuring a couple big names. Honestly will never understand why fans would prefer to watch Rampage, Crocop, and Gomi 6 years past their prime rather than guys like Michael Mcdonald, Renan Barao, Gunnar Nelson, Jimi Manuwa, Jon Tuck, John Lineker, etc, etc.
Recently, Dana White said to Karyn Bryant that getting FUEL TV in alot more areas is a major intitiave for the UFC in 2013. <to paraprhase>
Someone seems obsessed with Chael, can't wait to see Jones send him packing out of the lightheavy weight division.
