Quality shoop! Lol
Lesnar had not fought in over a year because of his medical issue and was practically irrelevant at the time. Thompson was the former SF champ & very underrated by casual fans. Bottom line is Melendez beat everyone SF had to offer plus Aoki. Overeem is coming back from being suspended for cheating.

Lesnar was former UFC champ.. Alistair dismantled him.. I'm not a Overeem fan, but he's clearly done more career wise than Gil.. I agree Thomson is underrated, but he should have won that decision over Gilbert.. Melendez beat a lot of decent guys, but no one great.. And Aoki's just about been figured out.. Alvarez & Melendez are in the same boat now.. If both come, Melendez should get Maynard (winner can get a shot) as a first fight & Alvarez should get Nate (If he's impressive, give it to him).. But the winner of Cerrone-Pettis should fight Benson first
The fact that you hold Overeem in such high regard makes me think you're confusing mma achievements with kickboxing achievements. Also no, if Cerrone were to win he has no business fighting Benson for obvious reasons.
Overeem has beaten high-quality, top of the line Heavyweights, Melendez on the other hand hasn't.. Cerrone has better wins than Melendez
Edgar was the lightweight champion and he didn't need to make major changes to his physique to make FW.
LW is also way more competitive so he deserves his shot.
Imo, Melendez should fight someone like Pettis or Cerrone or Maynard for a shot.
So Aldo should fight KZ who is injured or Koch whose resume looks like shit compared to Edgars? All because Edgar got screwed out a win?
I won't even get in to the fact you suggesting fighters should just sit out 3-5 more months waiting just so you can see the fight "you" want to see. Obviously they shouldn't worry about getting the paycheck that provides for their family they should be more concerned with fighting guys SuperBadAzz deems worthy of being their opposition.
