Nope, nothing of the sort. There's no marital connection, no benefits or liabilities that would mirror a marital relationship. I don't know what you mean by "inherent rights".this is basically going down the path of assumed marriage and inherent rights, and borderline sharia law <Lmaoo>
And it's nothing like sharia law. It's closer to an expanded version of existing custody agreements and child support. We force child support and we force custody if one partner refuses to voluntarily do so. We are already forcing one parent to pay money to the other parent and forcing one parent to deliver the child to the other parent -- both by court order, btw.
Instead you force the adults to cohabitate - custody arguments disappear because both parents have constant access to the child. Child support arguments disappear since they'll be sharing the same living space, managing the financial component becomes something they have to figure out instead of the government setting an arbitrary number.
And, most importantly, it benefits the child. Which is the point of child support and custody arguments in the first place.
