I don't like Davis but I think he'll catch Garcia who is too open and flat-footed for my liking. But this time he won't get back up. Davis probably watched Campbell drop Garcia and was licking his lips in anticipation of having a shot at Garcia.
I feel like Tank’s personal failings tend to spill over into phantom criticism of his boxing. I can’t imagine a significant % picking Garcia to beat him. Tank probably has as much or more power but he’s much more mobile and fro what I’ve seen he’s more scientific and has fewer defensive liabilities. you can never write off someone as dynamic as Garcia, but not a high % fight for him IMO.
Different promoter's different network's, this isn't happening next or in the next 2 years. I hope we're wrong as this would be one of the best fights that can be made.
true but If you watch tank in sparring for instance he has shown he can be more capable defensively, he also seems just a tad bit more explosive and has a wider punch selection. Garcia had other openings against Campbell he neglected due to spamming that left hook all fight. Tank on the other hand showed us he can see an opening and set his man up.
Garcia seems to want this fight - hopefully he dares to be great, forces DLH’s hand and we get to see this soon.
Davis is quite a bit better technically at this point, even if he often gets lazy in the ring and sells out on offense. Against an opponent he'd have to respect, I think we'd see him boxing smarter, and he's plenty capable of exploiting Garcia's considerable defensive flaws. Garcia is a guy that I really wouldn't be rushing. His hand speed and power are huge gifts and if the Reynosos can iron out some the technical flaws, he could be extremely difficult to beat. Alas, I don't think he'll have the chance to develop slowly, and I don't think his massive gifts will outweigh his technical flaws at the highest level. Having said that, Davis continuing to not take boxing seriously outside the ring will see him surpassed by the other top talent around his weight very quickly. I'll also add that Garcia is quite a bit bigger than Davis, naturally. He'll probably end up at JWW or WW when it's all said and done, whereas Davis, even if he gets fat between fights, is average-sized for SFW and shouldn't ever go above LW.
This kid gets Too much shit and naysaying primarily because he looks like a chippendale dancer either people don't want him to do well because he's good looking or they think he's somehow handicapped for being good looking sure he's got some defensive holes but everything he throws is like a lead pipe.... jab, hooks and damn that cross is whippin That said I have no idea what his rush his He def should be fighting Haney next
Maybe it's due to the pandemic that Ryan can't spar extensively but I hardly saw any head or lateral movement from him in his fight. That or he thinks he has Golovkin power relative to his weight class which I don't think is the case. Davis by UD.
Exactly but there are so many jokes Gervonta gifted us with "I rather handle shit wit violence instead of speaking" it's worth it. Like I mentioned before Garcia is Victor Ortiz all over again. Someone will get to him before Davis does (and I think Davis is very beatable too)
