Why is he fighting another FW after just beating another FW? Can't he find any fighters at his own weight?

Davis will smash him. Hopefully he can stop being a fuck up and get a unification fight soon.

Is he still with TMT? I know he was openly criticizing Floyd as a promoter

Mares doesn't have the power to hang with Tank. At this point I just hope Davis fights more than once in 2019.

I like this fight. Not a Mares fan, but he's experienced and while Davis is the favorite, his out of ring behavior and getting soft and chubby between fights, he's ready to fall off aaaany day now. So Mares is about the right amount of fighter you want to get Davis in there with atm. Not without risk, but safe enough Davis should close the show, but maybe see some new tricks along the way. But Davis is such a fuck up, he going to botch his teams best laid plans eventually. And that adds more intrigue to his fights. Hey he's a good talent, but until he pulls his head out of his ass... not going to go well for much longer.

Mares is a decent fighter, I think he's being underrated in this thread.

You picked him for the upset, right? In a previous thread?

I thought yes, but I can't find it so I'm clearly wrong. It must have been some other pick you made that surprised me.

nah no way, this is a squash match and a bad fight. Mares just came off of a loss to a light hitting featherweight and has always been known to be a bit chinny. I don't see his style lasting him more than four rounds against Tanks power and accuracy. Mares realistically capped out at 122, 130 is waaaaay to big a jump.

I predict Davis will miss weight. By how many pounds I’m not sure.

Mares will be the smaller man but people are underestimating him big time, will be one of if not the most talented guy Davis ever faced
