According to a new study from the Institut für Arbeitsmarkt- und Berufsforschung (IAB that is a German institute that does labor market-related studies). Every 4th refugee already has a job. If the trend continues like this in 5 years half of all refugees will be integrated into the workforce. The most integrated refugees are from Pakistan and Nigeria. From Syria, every 5th refugee has a job.

Sorry only got a source in German:

Looks promising I thought the numbers would be much lower. I have to say as bad of a mistake it was to let them all in. Merkel and her government are in the process of turning it around. Crimes numbers looking good, now the job numbers. It seems to be going ok.

Every 4th? Is that 25%? Doesnt sound that great. I don't have a problem with refugees at all but numbers should be much higher otherwise they are liabilities.

Honestly I thought it would be much much higher. Like our Latino refugees are almost all employed whether underground or real.

How is it with antisemitism? An increase?

So a 75 percent unemployment rate and most of those employed are employed via government created job made to employee refugees great

Germany bringing back Coal mining jobs?

How many of those are subsidized by the govt?

I know a ton of asylum seekers in sweden are in govt subsidized jobs,Son of Jamin might have some numbers on that

So basically the numbers were abysmal (still are) until the government had to subsidize jobs.

They are not very keen on reporting how many of the refugees and immigrants that have subsidized employments but as a fact of the matter, Sweden has the most subsidized employments in the EU.

A recent report that was made by the Expert Group on Public Economics studied "refugees" from 1983 to 2015. In general, the net cost for a refugee is circa $10,000 per year throughout their entire lives in Sweden. Unemployment among the most successful group is more than 40% higher than the least successful group.

Sweden has accepted more than 2,300,000 refugees since 1980-2017, so the cost is astounding.

Smells awfully like state propaganda tbh.

Its promising the germans are giving away jobs over their citizens.

In America it's almost impossible to find a blue collar job.
You would think there was policy in the u.s. to help everyone in the world get a job before a citizen.

it is. spiegel mostly sugarcoats this kind of reports.

around 20-25% of them have some low level low paid "jobs" and more than half of them probably government sponsored activities/trainings
most of them are simply unqualified.

I think a more accurate assessment of the success of the last 3 years of immigration would be how many of the 25% of the working immigrants are actually net contributors (or beginning to become net contributors) to Germany's economy, and what percentage actually take more from the system than they put in?

it was always about cheap labour. not helping people.

Germany bringing back Coal mining jobs?

Yeah, no more coal mining jobs in Germany. The coal in Germany is to far underground to mine efficiently now.
So the mining industry died a slow and painful death in the 80's and 90's. It took until now recover from all the job losses and it is still not the same.

Yeah, that is true. But that will still take time. This is just the beginning of it getting better.
Because know 3 years down the government start to have a system in place to integrate them into the workforce.
It would have obviously been better to have those systems first.
But a lot of them are full contributors because Germany also has so many low qualification labor jobs. You could probably fill another 300-400 thousand of those if the system works well.

Germany as a country didnt need a sudden input of 2 million mostly unskilled sunni arabs and africans. God only knows the overall cost of welfare payments , crime and the people who have been killed /raped as a result.

Merkel and the EU wanted to fast track the Kalergi plan and used the Syria war as an excuse.
All of Europe has paid a terrible price for what Mutti Merkel did.

It's hilarious how unable reactionary conservatives are of thinking/seeing long-term.

Germany, which was already on its way to be sure, has cemented its future as the economic powerhouse of Europe for future generations. Yet ethno nationalists and fear mongering dolts think that Merkel and her center-right party took in all these migrants because of their bleeding heart humanitarianism lol.

You have to look farther into those statistics: what constitutes a "job"? Is that full-time employment? Or does that also include part time or other where you're not making enough to survive?

Thinking that all refugees are going to successfully integrate into Germany after a couple of years is just naive. Germany couldn't integrate the Turks or the Spätaussiedler. Now they have millions coming over who don't speak the language, have little formal education to speak of, and have god knows what kind of PTSD issues from their experiences in war-torn countries. Not to mention people coming over from conservative Islamic countries where woman are bundled up from head to toe, now they see beautiful 6'0" blonde German women everywhere they go.
You're crazy if you think this is going to be a smooth integration.
