Shame. I was ready to hammer the o2.5 which I think would've opened around -160 maybe -170.
I just looked at that card and man is it garbage. They were really banking on that fight and Mo vs Phil carrying it.

Not really
Been reading some interviews and kept an eye on him lately just because the match up seems fun too me, and I like most of the things I see about him but I have a really hard time seeing him winning. Mostly I struggle to see how he defends from getting thrown on his ass and submitted. I've seen the best of Norwegian BJJ coaches a few years back in person and while they're really good and I have the all respect in the world for them they're not very big and I can't imagine them having the physical ability to get someone prepared enough for Palhares.
Basically I think Meek might be slightly underrated, but this match up just isn't the right one for him. On the other hand I've yet to watch a lot of tape and such, so I might be completely off. The "good" thing about it is that Meek actually asked for the match up, so I guess he sees something given that he doesn't really need this fight and could possibly just win 2-3 decent and very winnable fights to get a call from the UFC. So unless he's just talking out of his ass about asking for the fight or is fairly stupid at least he thinks he has a decent shot.

I'm all for these tournaments and novelties in the smaller promotions if used sparingly. Gives them something different to generate fan interest instead of them just being a UFC-lite.

Yeah I don't mind it either. The LW one was fun, I enjoyed the Zeferino vs Foster two fights in one night weirdness.
Just hoping by the time the final comes for the HWs its not the sloppiest shit show ever from 2 previous fights

I love Bobby Green +170 vs. Poirier... he should be able to avoid the ground and I give him a fair edge in the boxing department.
Also liking both Stephens at +150 and the over 2.5 at -120 against Barao. I have no idea why Barao is that big of a favorite. He won't get it down and it should be close on the feet. Barao sub or KO is very unlikely, Stephens sub is basically non-existent, and Stephens KO is not all that likely either.
Hitting Almeida against Gabrandt at -150... He's gonna come forward with the full arsenal and Cody has looked bad when pressured. Not in love with this one, but confident with my lean.
