I think Holm is one of the most overrated fighters in woman's MMA history.

Her entire career, apart from the sparking of Ronda, has fallen well short of expectation. In her debut, she barely squeeked by on a split decision, and her handful of wins were largely lack luster point fighting to boring unanamous decisions.

She is probably the most athletic and technically proficient WMMA fighter, but it has never translated to the ring. If she didn't have that one win over Ronda, she would be somewhere in Invicta right about now.

It was for the inaugural FW title, so nothing can ever make up for that.

If they want to fight, let them fight.

But seeing that Holly was able to control Anderson, doesn’t give me a whole lot of faith that GDR could win the rematch. It’s too bad Holly never employed that grappling type of game plan in her fight with GDR.

Unfortunately, GDR doesn’t seem to do well in that department.

Holly has always fell flat when she faces real competition. She is a extraordinary performer but she doesn't have that extra push or drive in the later rounds of a fight. She needs to retire before she develops cte.

She can get that Nunes rematch but she gotta keep winning, she beat Pennintong now she could fight with GDR who is #1 ranked. And since she feels she won that first fight, this rematch would be great for her.

And Holly did try to take GDR down several times, but she could not... She's just not good at it, she's not a grappler at all, taking Anderson down means nothing at that level.

I’d have to rewatch to be sure. But that GDR fight was well before (years) the Megan fight. And Holly said in the octagon after the Megan fight that she never tried her wrestling in a fight before.
