Elections Gavin Newsom's Chances of Being 2028 Democratic Nominee

Lol, were you one of those male queefs that voted for her? Come on, I know you tools love to virtue signal about that type of stuff. <lol>
Yep. I've voted for Dem Presidential candidates since '92 with Clinton. Go back 50 years and see who was in charge during recessions.

  • '73-'75 - Nixon (R)
  • '80 - Carter (D)
  • '81-'82 - Reagan (R)
  • '90-91 - HW Bush (R)
  • '01 - W Bush (R)
  • '07-'08 Financial Collapse - W Bush (R)
  • '00 COVID - Donlad the felon (R)
That alone should make you vote Democrat. But nah, you vote for people with fucking brain worms. Tip of the hat to @payton for the info on recessions.

I don’t think he’ll do very well. Him having strict covid restrictions and then breaking those very rules will make for some highly effective attack ads (and a Govenor from Cali is always going to be seen as an “elite” who doesn’t care about the center of the country) and he’s alienated leftists by sucking up to right wing propaganda podcasters.

Pritzker is someone I’m curious about. Bit too socially liberally for me personally, but I care far more about the economy than social arguing, and the fat fuck managed to have Illinois of all states a budget surplus without raising middle class taxes.

Way better on the economy than Trump, so I think that would run really well. The tax dodging toilets is funny tho, but I think it’ll just be some memes and that’s about the only skeleton in his closet.

Beshar is another I think would have a good chance. I don’t know much about him but a democrat winning in Kentucky multiple times has to have broad range appeal.
We're pretty much already tapped out with some of the highest sales and property taxes in the country. The billions Pritz spent on illegal's would probably come back to bite him in the ass. He also had is wife and daughter living in Florida during the covid lockdowns.

A "straight" guy for Kamala.

Hes got exposed for larping as a centrist a while back and almost quit Sherdog lol. I'm glad everyone now sees him for what he is.

He's an attention seeking manchild and boring to boot. Stop feeding him and eventually he will wander away and bother someone else.

<lol> This coming from the blowjob that tagged half the forum to comment on the Democrat assassination thread.

Where do you think Shapiro fits in? VP?
He turned down Harris VP. And I don’t think making enough noise to do a national run. Plus being Jewish and everything going on now

I think he sits this one out

He doesn't have Elon to rig the machines this time round.

I doubt Gavin will run, many California counties can't even stand him. Mine included.
Accept the election results and stop threatening our democracy.

Can't blame him for turning that down. It was a probable loss and after that you are damaged goods. I think he might slip into a VP run down the road seeing as Pennsylvania is so important. The name "Shapiro" is a hard sell, though.

He's had some Billy Clinton like incidents with staffers in the past and I think there's more skeletons in that closet. Not sure he would pass the dnc deep dive

You’re in Illinois as well?

Yeah the sales and property taxes are fucking brutal. But past governors still somehow managed to lose money with it, and Pritz managed to have a budget surplus under the same terms

Newsom is white, he is old, he is a man most likely (there seems to be confusion with some Democrats over the definition of men and women) - for todays Democrats that should disqualify him running for President.

The few democrats I have known here in Florida thought well of Newsom in the past. I'm not sure what their thinking is today, after the inept handling of the LA riots and fires.

Newsom wants to have his name out in front though. I saw an article saying Newsom wanted a debate with VP Vance. That sounds like someone who is planning to run for President.

A lot of people leaving California ever since Newsom became governor there. I can imagine that doesn't bode well for him.

Scott Jennings Expertly Lays Out Why People Are Fleeing California

.....“It depends on who you ask,” Jennings answered. “If you’re a conservative, you look at California and say, ‘This is a warning.’ High taxes, overregulation, crime, homelessness—it’s a preview of what happens when progressivism goes unchecked. But if you’re on the left, it’s more like a model. It’s a place where they’ve had the power to try out their ideas without much opposition.”

Collins asked whether Jennings believes the trend of people fleeing California is “overblown” or “a real trend.”

“No, it’s real. People are leaving in droves, especially middle-class families. They’re going to places like Texas, Florida, Tennessee—states that are more business-friendly, lower taxes, more freedom,” Jennings replied. “California’s population declined for the first time in its history. That’s a big deal. And it tells you that the policies aren’t working for everyone.”

The anchor then pointed out that “California is still a major economic powerhouse,” to which Jennings responded, “Sure, if you’re in tech or Hollywood or have the right connections, you’re doing fine. But if you’re a working-class person trying to get by, the cost of living is brutal. Gas prices, housing costs, taxes—it adds up. So people vote with their feet.....

His bald head along with his ears and nose are off-putting. Voters are shallow. He's Ben Kingsley's uglier brother.
I think Kamala would have done a lot better with him than Walz being a serviceman. Maybe it's the space nerd in me but he's very passionate about the country. Didn't the Futon Fondler call him a traitor or some such nonsense for going to Ukraine?

Stopped reading at "old". He's not even 60.

I think Kelly would make a fantastic President.

If a ton of his own state can't stand him I can't see him doing too well. Which states would you think he'd be in favour with? Eager to see, and happy to be proven incorrect. I've had the edge of very Dem Silicon Valley and now very Rep Kern County.

I think he would do well in ny, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Washington, Oregon just to make a few
