I would have picked Lineker to KO garbrandt inside 1 round, I have money on the BJJ wizard though.
It's a catchweight, Mendes weighed in at 142lbs.
I don't know, I've never seen him fight he just had good odds and I'm not sold on Garbrandt just yet.
I think he could win by submission, I really don't have a definitive idea of who will win though.
Mendes has very, very good jiu jitsu. One of the absolute best in the world right now, I've seen his MMA fights and TBH there's a chance Mendes could tap Garbrandt or grapple fuck him but Garbrandt is most likely going to keep it on the feet and light him up. Mendes hasn't displayed any striking remotely close to what we've seen from Garbrandt, and in MMA Mendes hasn't shown terribly explosive takedowns either. I think it'll take him a couple years to round out his game, but who knows.
Do you like Garbrandt at -135 to finish inside the distance? I don't think Garbrandt is going to settle for another decision like his last fight, especially given the circumstances this fight, and will win by finish if anything. The difference between a Garbrandt win and a finish inside the distance (-380 vs -135) seems like great value.
I think Garbrant can get a TKO, but not inside two rounds. He'll wear Mendes out and get the stoppage in the last minute or two.
That stoppage was too fast
I wouldn't say that is really bad because he didn't really try to bang, but he did well staying out of dodge. Plus who knows if mendes would have Gotten a position from a possible scramble.I agree but would of happened anyway, Mendes stand up is really bad
