This is a review of the new Gameness Air Gi.

First, I was limited to using 6 images in this review. I have included a link to the full album where you can download much higher resolution images below.

The Air is the lightest gi offered by Gameness and is one of the lightest gi

Very nice review. Just to let you know this is not a Gold weave material. It happens to be a Judo rice grain single weave gi the same used on the Fuji Victory bjj gi and Older Gameness single weave model.

Gold weave material would make this a much heavier gi.

its actually a honey comb weave, there's no way it can me gold weave.

I'll check with gameness.

There seems to be quite a few opinions on how many gi top materials exist. I believe part of this is due to the fact that companies are trying to have the newest, greatest, lightest, toughest material on the market.

The first time I got my hands on one of these I was immediately impressed. It is VERY similar to a gold weave. So far everyone at my gym that has one has liked it. Noone has had any durability issues yet.

this gi and the ground control gi's are identical i own the ground control and a guy from my club owns the gameness and its the same gi .

Now with that said the companies use a different sizing cut , same design different cut .

Its not goldweave or honeycomb its a single rice grain weave like fuji and kieko uses

Just heard back from Gameness on the weave of the gi top.

"To clarify, the kimono is a comb weave. The comb weave is designed to be as durable as a double weave (like the Gameness Pearl), but lighter weight."

comb weave?? better add that one to the list of weave types...never heard of that! by the looks of it, i would say it's a single/pearl weave.

I have two of these Gis and I could not be more pleased with them. Amazing comfort, great durability...cannot ask for much more from a gi.

I agree and thanks for suggesting I try one (A4)

Only thing that is weak is the collar...could have used a little more beef.

I am not a thick collar advocate but its weak. Its funny cause I have a black and blue air and the black is thicker than blue
