Saturday night, with two belt, after 49 fighs in 16 years,
Masvidal will announce his retirement from MMA.

..someone else has this feeling?

Man, a lot of posters setting themselves up for the flames of Sunday.

its best way to maxmize $$$$$$$$$$$$
Retire.. then come back for a bigger payday
Conor, GSP, Cejudo, DC, etc all used the retirement shitick

Don't you dare count that bmf thing as a real belt lol

Hell no, he's not fighting Gilbert Burns though. I could certainly see the Conor fight materializing if he beats Usman. Maybe even the Colby fight.

Nah. If he gets the belt he’ll try to get another money fight

I don’t see it, he’s at the absolute height of his earning potential, especially if he wins

lol what? he would never leave that insane amount of money on the table.

Not when he's in a position to make more money than most fighters have ever seen.

Even on a loss, he's not leaving.
I mean, he would have everything to lose
continuing
And a step out, like Conor, would eventually prepare
their return for the biggest fight in ufc history

I predict Mas will be badly embarrassed over 5 rounds (essentially get "Woodley'd" by Usman) and then get all Nick Diaz on the mic and bitch about how Marty didn't really come to fight.

Well, it's prize fighting and Mas has always been a prize fighter. Losses, legacy, embarrassment and all that crap - I doubt he cares. And his next fight - the PPV points, guaranteed pay, sponsor money, attention, opportunities that come from that attention...If anything, it'd be irresponsible to his team, friends and family who've stuck with him through the lean years, to now tap out from the glory.

He loves money, so he is going to fight again

I kind of think the reason he was being very adamant with a big payday is because he feels he only has 1 or 2 left.

If he gets injured badly, I think he'd retire. If he wins, I think he'll call out Conor.

^That statement also applies to Usman.

He’ll be around for a while, he used to fight for free! He still does sometimes lol
