"Gamebred" vs "Maverick"

Masvidal got that. He might be too much for Chiesa actually.
 
Fun fight but I see Masvidal winning pretty easy.
 
Chiesa via SD or late TKO.

Dude showed he has the heart to take some serious beatings. He recovers very quickly as well. I'm thinking this'll be more like his fight with Lawrence, except Masvidal will land a lot more and nearly finish him a few times.

What fight of his would you recommend of Chiesas that I should watch or rewatch before this match?

I don't like this matchup because I like Chiesa and feel he should be built up. Masvidal is a tough test, and I think he'll win, but I'd love to see Chiesa grab the sub.
 
easy win for masvidal unless chiesa can smother him.
 
Masvidal is going to pick him apart. He takes it via tko or decision. He's perfectly willing to sit back and counter and coast to a decision and Chiesa is tough enough to possibly go the distance.

Not a good fight for Chiesa.

His TUF fights (with the exception of his fight to get into the house, I believe) are all examples of him losing a fight (nearly getting finished) and coming back.

If I remember right, he was a punch or two away from being finished in his finale fight as well, before fighting smart and getting a take down while his opponent was moving forward.
 
Masvidals striking is surely vicious at times i can see maverick pulling off a rnc late in round 2 or grinding out a slow paced ud. Means really seemed to take it to gamebred striking wise in their last fight.
 
This is a huge step up for Chiesa and I don't think he's ready. It's going to be a serious mismatch on the feet.
 
Random matchup. Two guys in totally career spots and different styles.

Either way Jorge should win, he has good tdd and very good striking.
 
While I agree Masvidal on paper looks like too much for Chiesa, he has VERY underrated wrestling, which has proved pretty effective through his TUF run.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think there will be some value on Chiesa for this matchup and will probably bet him.
 
Chiesa is vastly underrated. When he does his trademark body triangle it's just a matter of time before rear naked and game over. He's going right into top 10.
