Sam is the lock of the decade not to bite the farm in my opinion. If I had to bet cash money on two people to survive, him and Sansa would be my bets.
 
I'm hoping Dany doesn't die but I figured I had to pick either her and Jon to not survive (pulling for both of them to make it) and it seemed more likely Jon would be the one to endure.
 
I don't care much about GOT at this point. The series turned into a predictable hollywood popcorn movie.

Why so damn emo? S7 was still far above an average TV show. There was only 1 episode I didn't care for. I don't think they'll rush 8 as much as they did 7. Though, I kind of dread an ending that's too pro-Dany, while all the other characters are shit on.

Problem is with so many potential deaths and only 6 episodes some characters are going to get shafted in regards to having a meaningful death. Outside of the main 6-7 characters, I don't think too much thought will be put into it.

Even relatively big characters like Davos, Brienne, Jorah and The Hound are going to be little more than filler, imo.

Hope I'm wrong......seems fucking ridiculous not to do a full 10 episode season at this point.

Yeah, I feel like there's too much story and too many characters left for just 6 episodes. Maybe we'll be lucky and all episode will be well over 60 minutes long. With maybe a 90-120 minute finale. That could do it too.

My only hope is that a couple of the six will be 80-110 mins.

I mean that is what's rumoured.......but HBO would of happily had 10 x 90 minute episodes, I'm sure.

The producers obviously just want to end it as quicly as possible. No one can say season 7 wasn't both rushed and a bit of a clusterfuck, even if it was still enjoyable. Seems they're happy to serve up Big Macs now as opposed to put a bit more effort in and give us filet mignon.

Exactly......it's almost guaranteed that some story-lines will either be rushed (Theon/Yara/Euron) or just ignored all together (Dorne and The Riverlands). You feel they only really care about Dany, Jon and Cercei at this point. Even Jaime, Tyrion, Arya, Sansa and Bran seem like background noise.

Here's hoping they end on a high and surprise us all.
