I feel like it's going to be mostly on the feet. Gaethje is a wrecking ball, but I just don't think he can handle Tony's cardio/pace past round 3

Justin's leg kicks are hard and effective offensively, but have you noticed that vs skilled opponents he gets his face fucking blasted when he uses a lot of leg kicks. Because to get the torque he wants and actually make it hurt, he can't keep his guard up (not just him, anyone). Straight shots down the middle just find a home on his face when he's trying to chop away at the legs. It's why he had Dustin limping but was wobbling around himself from the punches he'd eaten. Tony can land his hard, straight jab from farther away too, which means that Justin possibly lands a lower % of the leg kicks but pays the same price.

I'm not saying he should totally abandon them, but he needs to be pretty selective on when to throw them.

exactly...this is what I said in an earlier post...I said I didn't think justin's leg kicks would be nearly as effective against tony as other fighters....tony has a weird fighting style..he moves weird..it won't be easy to time the leg kicks...

tony has this weird way of busting up guys faces...it happens in literally every fight...guys become a bloody mess...leg kicks open you up to counters..which is going to happen.

Gaethje throws a lot more leg kicks per round than RDA, and the rounds where RDA was landing leg kicks are the rounds that he won. barboza landed 1, maybe 2 leg kicks—not many at all.
