One would have to be a retard not to recognize how much Gaethje has improved. His whole approach to fighting has changed and he is throwing better punches than ever. Conor at the very least would have his hands full.

I agree Gaethje is way overrated on here, can’t think of an easier win for Conor at LW in the top five.
 
If Justin does a Cowboy then maybe, but if he fights smart & uses his leg kicks & grappling then Conor has problems.

better technique
better timing
better accuracy
better usage of his energy
better foot work and head movement and seemingly better fight iq
still improving and that is scary
 
That Homer Simpson analogy was KO'd cold with james vick.

I'd pay for JG vs CM.

Gaethje beat Barboza with technique. He out kicked him, & he outboxed him with some beautiful Rocky Marciano type shifting.

And the way he KO'd Cowboy off the back-foot was very slick. His footwork is cleaner, and his punching mechanics have tightened up. The old Gaethje probably would have lost similarly to the way Yaquinta did vs Cowboy.
 
Conor does match up well with Gaethje but it’s a much better fight now that Gaethje has learned he can’t take endless punishment. Gaethje can stiffen anyone in the division though, dude looks dangerous as fuuuuuuuck.
 
I agree. conor is a master counter puncher and justin loves to throw first. he is always coming forward and doesnt stop. easy to time. Many less fighters have hurt justin. Justin went to war with eddie and dustin and got finished. Conor finished both of those guys in less than 10 mins combined

Then why didn't Connor take the fight with this Taylor made guy instead of a fighter coming off 2 losses?

If it's a tailor made opponent, then lets see if he signs the contract. Cause he sure as hell could've fought Gaethje instead of Cowboy. More people were calling for that fight. Gaethje is healthy, ready and willing.

As someone else mentioned, if you're saying this as "we don't need to see that fight" then fuck you. If it's a slam dunk then you should be calling for it, since you're so confident it's an easy fight for conor.
