This guys reminds me Khabilov with how he is getting buried in cards (FN cards too) despite the stellar record. Very few guys have a UFC record this solid. Surely a top 5 or top 10 fight has to be coming?

Khabilov has visa issues so they are never bumping him.

Yahya will get his chance next fight.

And they just cut the one guy who beat him. Wild.

The UFC doesn’t give a shit about a 33 yr old 145 pounder who has never knocked out anyone in their entire career

He's a super solid dude; one of the best submission grapplers in the UFC today, and for a long time since really. Very few names i'd put in front of his.

Doesn't just play the position game, when he gets a hold of guys he puts them away.

Legit guy , became a fan when he fought Beebe back in the WEC (crazy grappling exchanges if I remember) .

3 fight streak , thinking he should fight Perez next .

Yeah, it's weird too cuz he's been a pretty consistent submission finisher and he's still on the undercard, and hasn't even earned a post-fight bonus. I mean c'mon, dude has a heelhook, a couple kimuras, a north-south. Pretty unique submission finishes.

That's impressive as fuck for a guy who is kind of seen as a journey man. Hope he keeps his run going.

Yahya vs Perez or Font. If he wins he should get a top 5-10 guy.

Checked that out the other day.

Pretty wild how under the radar he is.

Ufc just doesn't give a shit about some guys no matter how good they are or what they do. Mostly the older guys too it seems, they would much rather give bonuses to shitty women's fights and young guys over good performances.

Partially the reason why they changed the bonuses to "performance of the night" so they have more control over who they pick and choose to promote. Imagine if the bonuses were still KO and Sub of the night, doubt wed ever see another wmma fighter win a bonus again.

Bottom line is Yahya could get a fucking twister in his next fight, and UFC would still bury him on the undercard of some FN at 3 am in the Phillipines and give Angela Hill and the girl with the big jaw main card spot.

It is what it is, UFC isn't in the business of promoting who is good they are in the business of promoting who makes them money whether they are that good at fighting or not think guys like Mike Perry.

Always loved watching him. He's like a mini moose, shows zero emotion before and during fights

Meh. He has that record but he's beaten basically nobodies in the UFC. Also zero finishes via strikes in his career after 35 fights is not appealing given how old he is as well and lost to the only remotely known guys he fought.

Hell, even Maia and Shields have a few finishes via strikes.
