I don't think he's afraid but I think he recognizes Usyk is by far the most skilled and technical HW of this era. Fury is always slyly demeaning or talking about Usyk like he isn't much of a factor. Fury is well aware Usyk is by far the biggest threat to his claim as the best heavy of this era.

Agreed. John Fury actually stated this years ago, that Usyk would whoop AJ and be Fury's biggest threat, but because the general public don't know shit about boxing, they were blinded by AJ's muscles.

You know, I actually think Fury would make a really good coach. He seems like the type that could talk to anyone and make them believe in whatever Fury was selling. Confidence building, styles, game plans etc.

AJ's been shopping around for a new trainer (or a new addition, not sure if McCracken will remain). The latest news is that he's talked to Ronnie Shields. He wants Shields to turn him into a dog. I liked Shields' answer to that, the instincts have to already be inside him.
