just thinking how 2 impressive KOs always starts the hype train...

I am thinking about Nate Quarry, Houston Alexander, Johnny Walker, and Masvial....

What are some other EARLY hype trains due to 2+ KOs in a row?

I'm not referring to anyone being overrated.

But historically, 2 impressive KOs ALWAYS seems to get the buzz going....

When Michel Pereira knocks out the LW late replacement this weekend, his already significant hype will get way out of hand.

Sokoudjou is the most obvious answer.

This is the best answer ever.

His KO’s over Rogerio and Arona are some of the wildest things you’ll ever see if you have any knowledge of the sport.

Then he gets tripped n tapped by Machida and that was the end of him.

GSP....ooh wait, he doesn't have 2 KOs in a row.

Because it’s not easy to ko 2 people back to back

Yeah I get excited when someone ko's two ranked fighters consecutively. Why would that not excite you as a fan?

Askren was ranked top 10 because he got a bad ref call on a downward trending Lawler and otherwise the only top 10 win he has is against a guy who was top 10 despite never fighting a top 10 fighter.

Darren Till was ranked top 10 because he got away with a robbery against Wonderboy in one of the most boring fights of all time. Before that, he had only beaten Cerrone (who was on a two fight skid) and a bunch of unranked nobodies.

Sparking 2 top 5's in a row isn't reason to get hype?

Till being top 5 based on a robbery in an absolute snoozefest is a joke.

Askren being ranked top 5 based on a ref calling a fight dumb early is a joke.

You know this. I know this. Stop trying to pretend Masvidal went from unspectacular gatekeeper to top 5 WW and a real BMF overnight.

Brunson knocked like 5 opponents out in the 1st RD in a row and never seemed to get any steam behind him..

So what you're saying is he's recently had 3 really good wins, and two big ko's in a row. Again why should I not be excited. Arguing over rankings does not make me want to see his next fight any less.

Till is the only one who landed anything major in that entire wonderboy fight. Wonderboy is the one who makes those fights snooze fests sorry to break it to you.
