So these guys signed up to a tournament to act like 12 year olds?

Today was the New South Wales No Gi Competition here in Sydney (NSW Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation)

There were only three guys in my division, my mate (in the USA wrestling uniform) and had the first fight against an opponent (i was straight into the final as i had a bye) and my mate won his fight decisively.

In the final, my friend and I decided to stage a pro wrestling match in the comp. We have faught each other everyday for the last 5.5 years since we train together, so instead of a boring fake BJJ match, we did a AWESOME Pro Wrestling match.

The crowd was very pleased with our performance, the judges and coaches were not.

We were disqualified from the match, and the whole comp (we also entered the open weight class). I didnt get a match, and didnt get a refund.

I trained bloody hard for this comp and also cut about 3.5kg including the sweat suit i wore for most of the day to lose the last 300g the morning of the comp, i have not entered many no gi bjj comps in the past, i guess i'll have to wait another year. I have no one to blame but myself.

So it was unfortunate, but it happened. We apologised to the staff in the end however the crowd was entertained and we had fun doing it. Enjoy!

Wow, you are one pathetic loser. No offense though.

Ref has no sense of humour. If I was reffing, would have let it run. Plus...no warnings? Little harsh. @_@

Incredibly juvenile and disrespectful. You deserved the DQ. You two should have went at each other with all you had knowing that you would remain friends, instead, you wasted a great opportunity. Dumb, imo.

Hey asshole, I don't live in australia. I didn't do that. I just posted it, the thread was wastelanded. I would have edited that but I can't because of dubz.

Hey moron, you just posted a long drawn out story saying "I" and "We". Like Im supposed to know that you were pasting that from a 3rd party post. Thats what the quote box is for jerk off.

You got a serious hard on for these two huh? WTF, no one got hurt during the prank.

Can I ask how old are you Ballistics?

Calling them a loser is considered having a hard on for someone? No one got hurt, so lets completely disrespect the entire tournament and the staff, and everyone else taking it seriously. If you want to play WWE, do it in your back yard. What difference does my age make?

I agree with the logic behind this move. Instead of faking a bjj bout, why not go all out?

I don't really see how it was disrespectful. 3 people in a division = not a serious tournament. It's not like they were at Abu Dhabi. And this was better than just someone forfeiting.

Notice a lot of losers in this topic who take shit a bit too serious. Wasn't hurting anyone get the fck over it.

Doesn't really bother me TBH. Not much different to competitors forfeiting, and provided some entertainment for the crowd in the process. Sounds like the guy wanted to save his energy for the Open Div.

it went against the spirit of the competition, therefore it was disrespectful. maybe they should have asked the ref first? i don't know. i think the DQ was appropriate
