Hey,

I made this flyer for a silent auction fund raiser. I was thinking about making some extra money doing private / semi private lessons. Would this flyer work? I don't want a long story on there. Would it look better if I had a picture with my instructor? (Cesar Gracie)

The top wouldn't be highlighted and the bottom wouldn't be cut off.

Thanks.

Great idea. Maybe consider putting a very short blurb about "fitness" or something to appeal to the milf vote.

What about a nice "hockey mom?"

I think it would be much better with a pic of you and Cesar in uniform.

Also Word Art might flare it up for you a bit, and don't be afraid to play with the color too.

I used to make flyers like this all the time at my old school, and I would do it for you if my computer didn't break down last week. I'm stuck on the library comp for now though.

You could have a smaller picture and use the extra space to list:

1. A couple of fitness benefits
2. Your tournament accomplishments (if that's something you want to focus on with your classes)
3. A brief explanation of what a private can do to help add to and improve what is learned in group lessons
4. Private/semi private rates. Also maybe having a "buy nine get one free" kind of thing

Lots of good advice. Thanks guys. I think there is an "untapped" (pun intended) market out there. Some people want to learn jiu jitsu but are afraid to go to a regular class. Maybe there are a few executive types out there that would take a semi private with their buddy.

I'm not looking to quit my job or anything. If I could get three privates a month that would pay my training fee. That would be cool.

I sort of like the "I'm upside down and about to win this match"; that would have appealed to me back in the day. Can understand people wanting Cesar and what not else in there, but that's not going to matter to joeblow off the street (depends in your market/etc)
