Was just watching this video and it got me thinking about what Aldo and his coach said about 18 days isn't enough time to prepare.

Now it's trivia time......

Has there ever been a late step in challenger to beat the champion with less than 30 days to prepare?

What say you, Sherdog?

Wasn't jones a late injury replacement against Shogun?

wasnt killashaw a replacement? i dont remember

Joe Soto stepped up on 24-hours notice.

Yup. And Jones stepped in for Rashad on like 5 weeks notice.

Oh, I thought Jones was less than that. Dillashaw had almost a full camp

Guess we can't think of any 4 weeks or less guys who managed to win?

When I suggested Joe Soto, I didn't see the part about beating the champ. Unless it's from an early UFC, I don't think anyone has done it in recent memory.
