Full nelson

Have you, or have you seen anyone use this while rolling?

I ask because I remember watching a Rich Clementi fight (I think it was against Melvin Guillard), and he uses a full nelson from the back for a few seconds.

I thought it was interesting because I've never seen it before. I use half nelson and quarter nelsons all the time, but I've never attempted the full nelson.

I know it's a pretty effective neck crank if done right (I think that's why it's banned from wrestling, but correct me if I'm wrong).

Is this a legit move, or just a gimmick?
 
its illegal in wrestling and bjj

i think its hard to get any leverage on it with your hooks in. you canuse it to ride, but to put any pressure you have to get too high. thats why when we were kids, i used to rock a standing full nelson on my brother, you can get the leverage standing, but not on the mat
 
Yeah I don't really see much use in the full nelson. As above, quarter and half I use a lot.
