full ab wheel roll out

I first saw these in a jacky chan film and we had one lying around the house. I decided to give it a go (this was when I didn't do any lifting but lots of stand up work and tonnes of ab conditioning). I got out 3 of these suckers from a standing start out, the 4th I went down.....and stayed there.

My god my abs the following day

Which film? I can't seem to remember this, it was Jackie Chan that got me doing situps hanging upside down by my feet and cracking walnuts with my thumbs after watching drunken master.

Is one of his later ones.

Something like beautiful or something, I'll have a dig and find the dvd when I get a chance.
I remember it had such a stupid name, but the conditioning and long ass fight scene made me look past that

I wanna start doing this exercise, and was wondering if there are any problems with doing it with a barbell instead?

thanks

Best thing was the fight he was using the ab wheel to get in shape for seemed to have little to nothing to do with the plot of the movie. Just some clown running around fighting people. But then again, I don't remember that movie too well.

the name of the movie was gorgeous starring jackie chan and shu qi
thats the one

and I agree urban. The only thing I really remember of it is the ab wheel, the final fight, the free standing hand stand push ups and the fact that I later found out the lead actress (shu qi?) did quite a bit of porn before it.

But he did use the power of the bands (I can't remember the name of the damn thing)

thanks for the infoes.. i usually do a shitload of crunches/leg raises/bicycles and shit like that, but lately i haven't been getting as sore from them.. i'm gonna give this a shot.

in all seriousness, i usually do about 3 sets of between 15-30 reps of fully extended "roll outs" at a slow pace with good form about 3 times a week. Perfect this exercise and you will no longer need to do any other upper body lifting.
Some oatmeal with your steroids for breakfast, this morning, sir?

Yeah, I have remained quiet on this but I'm currently training for Pro Boxing, and am in near ring-shape and cannot do 90 fuckin' ab roll-outs.

Unless I see footage, I'm calling bullshit on this.

If its form his knees i would say: OK!
From his feet: NEVER!

I smell something... The funniest part of this post is "in all seriousness". I think he meant to say "in total f%@#ing bullshitedness..."

Yeah, it hinges on what he means by "fully extended." Still, if he has a real strong core with lots of endurance, its do-able. He doesn't state how long he rests between sets, either, and that is a big factor.
