Sr. was just arguing the point that Floyd's success was because he taught Floyd early on, which I believe is true.

Floyd had no reason to start calling out Sr. for his training and his fighting career.

And Sr. is a CRAZY guy buy Floyd could have been the bigger man and walked away from that argument.

Well I can tell you from my own experiences that when raised in a dysfunctional house, the way we treat our parents can be different. You still have some kids who show their parents respect. Every situation is different.

Ive talked to my mom and dad like that and people are baffled. Ill explain further.

My mother and father were huge dope fiends. when they separated, my mother went crazy and just started bringing drugs in the house. She was with tons of different men. I hated drugs and i hated the men she was with so naturally as i got older i started to fight them. Me and mother would have full blown out arguments screaming our heads off all the time. When i tell people about my life people are blown away. For example.

My mom let one of her friends push my brother down in front of her and did nothing. My brother tells me, i challenge the guy, he tries to explain himself, I say i dont give a fuck. one of my moms other friends shoves me out the room and locks it. Long story short i get some friends, along with my 12 & 13 yr old brothers and surround the house with baseball bats & knifes. This lasted around 6 hours before i finally let them out, mainly just cause i had school the next day and it was pushing 3am. I was 16 at the time. There was honestly a scene like this all the time. I hated my mother with a passion.

Looking at this scene of floyd and his dad reminds me alot of how my relationship with my mother used to be. Some people cant understand it but you can tell there are some deep issues that have never really been resolved between them.

On a positive note, my mother has been clean for 10yrs and we have become very close.

It's not that hard to understand why Floyd jr lashes out at his father and vice versa. They've got a shitty relationship, partly due to the STRICT upbringing that jr got from sr and they wouldn't really hang out like a father and son would when jr was a kid. Another big reason is that Floyd jr is really close to his mom and sr hates her partly because the person who shot him and derailed his whole boxing career was Floyd jr's uncle (on the mothers side). So Sr is constantly disrespectful towards floyd's mom and family which Jr isn't all that keen on.

Sr's a shitty dad but a great trainer and with shitty fathers come shitty son and father relationships. I hope they reconcile I was hoping to see Sr at Jr's corner this time around.

And the end of that clip is exactly why Roger is the only guy that has any business running Floyd's corner. Roger is the only guy that can calm Floyd down when he gets crazy. You got security and guys like ellerbe trying to get Floyd to calm down, but he's still yelling at sr. Roger comes by and floyd actually listens to him.
