Regarding Ngannou, when you hit like that you don't need skill. That's the long and short of it. You drop people and put them to sleep, that's the name of the game. Who cares if he'd struggle against wrestlers? He either gets wrestlefucked like Stipe or he KO's them before they can take him down like he did with Cain.

I dont think anyone thinks he should not be in the UFC? I do see many threads about his poor technique. But what does this say about his opponents? Ngannou is an absolute monster, I love seeing him slug his way to the title. He makes HW an interesting division for me

I suppose in a way he's harder to prepare for where he's not as technical, these HW's are used to head movement and studying their opponents.

When you have a guy like Ngannou trying to club your head off, you can't prepare.

To me it feels like his striking has gotten worse over the years.
In his first couple UFC fights he had pretty good technique and cardio, nowadays he just seems to swing for the fences in the hopes to get the KO fast.
Comparable to Brunson in that regard, both probably fell in love with their power.
