So Erdogan's Turkey summoned Germany's ambassador because he felt insulted by a German satirical TV show that made fun of him.
Given that Europe gives him money so that he takes refugees back, this not only signals a power shift in relations. It also shows that freedom of speech might compromise national politics (i.e., if Erdogan decides he will not take back refugees from people who insult him). And this again opens the question: Should there be a limit to freedom of speech (except when discussing matters that actually directly pertain to national security such as military secrets)? Or is there simply a limiting factor to foreign relations?
