I remember an interview With Fedor where he talked about it. 2 things saved him. He was used to being thrown, and most importantly he relaxed his entire body before impact. Talk about cool under fire.

That is one of the first fights I remember watching that turned me on to MMA. I can't tell you how many times I've watched it, and it still excites me even now.

You just know Randleman would have been knocking dudes out brutally if he was a HW in today's division. HW is a division where you could argue the skill set in the mid 2000's would still win the title today.
