After his first and biggest win in the Octagon that earned him a POTN bonus, Frankie Perez announced his retirement from the sport during his post-fight interview. Frankie Perez explains...

It was (going to happen) regardless (of the outcome),

good on him, makes UFC look shitty though. good on him.

So he retired to " I’m going to go home, have fun, enjoy my family, enjoy my dad, enjoy my sister, my brother, my niece, my mom and go see my family in Miami. I just want to enjoy life for a little bit.”"

Or am I missing something?

translation: UFC is the major leagues and we still have to have 2nd jobs.

So a Chapter 11 Perez would be GOAT.

IIRC that's pretty much the same reason John Cholish retired. Good for him, though. Any time a guy can walk away with his health on his own terms is fine with me.

LOL @ Stout being an all time great and HOF candidate...

Way to hype oneself

"Who knows what will happen later"
"I’ll be back in the gym this week"
"I just want to enjoy life for a little bit"

He didn't retire. He wanted to do something to get more attention.

He beat a guy whose years past his best and wants to act tough and duck top fighters at the same time. Good riddance.

Bispigs comments show what a classless dude he really is

More like..

He had a successful business before he ever got into fighting and only fights for fun.

yeah, and why ruin your health and get CTE when you have skills and a way to make money apart from fighting?

So long Frankie Perez...

Can't say I'll miss him, considering I didn't know who he was before this fight.
