Frankie Edgar's head trainer says he could be the first 3 division champ.

My question is: Does he mean to say that Frankie could go down to 135 and challenge for the title? He can't possibly mean WW. I hadn't thought of frankie at BW before but I suppose he could make that weight. What do you guys think?

I don't think he means simultaneously. He has already has the LW belt and is about to fight for the FW belt, so thats 2 right there. He would only be the third person to ever do that in the UFC.

 

He's smaller than Dominick Cruz.
But I dont see him dropping down to BW tho.

Ricardo Almeida said a while back (before Frankie moved to 145) that he thought Frankie could make 135 pretty easily. Didn't sound like Frankie liked the idea too much though.

haters aside, if he manages to beat Aldo then he will be a clear favorite in a champion versus champion super fight versus Cruz which Frankie should take at BW so he can try and be the first 3 divisional champ.

 

I can't wait for him to knock Aldo out. Frankie is a stud. He will be the first 3 division champ. He is the number 1 pound for pound fighter.
