Frank Underwood (House of Cards) vs. Petyr Baelish (Game of Thrones)

Lost.:icon_lol:

Of course Frank takes this. He's lied, manipulated, cheated and clawed his way up to become the second most powerful man in the world. And he probably won't stop there.:icon_twis

But in terms of class, style and sheer Bad Ass-ness, it's closer than one might initially think. Little Finger's "Chaos is a Ladder" monologue is GOAT-level. Not just in Game of Thrones but any TV show. Indeed, it's not difficult to imagine Underwood watching it and nodding approvingly, while sipping a glass of Scotch.

So yes, it's a crushing victory for Frank, but Baelish is a worthy opponent. It's just his bad luck he's up against someone who can do everything he can, but on a much higher level.

It's Silva vs Cain, basically.:icon_chee

Ya, but if you've read the books then there are other things that Baelish lies, manipulates and cheats his way to getting. TV show Baelish is good, I love the actor(Even if he's a little too obviously sinister with all the goatee stroking etc. :icon_lol:) but what has happened so far in the TV show hasn't shown Baelish's real plotting skills.

Frank might be the biggest scumbag of all time. He wins

Baelish's biggest moments haven't happened/been revealed yet in GoT, but even after those I'd give the edge to Underwood

Yeah I don't know about that.

Kevin Spacey successfully started a civil war that caused tens if not hundreds of thousands of deaths and starved much of the country so that he could keep on climbing the ladder?

Man I need to watch House of Cards.

I must admit my knowledge of GoT is based solely on the TV Series. I haven't read any of the Books.

I want to see how that part is revealed in the show along with the moon door. and I do t hink this thread would be a lot closer after season 4. If it's handled properly.

Frank might still edge him out though. Dude ruins lives like no other. You should definitely give HoC a shot.

If Frank lived in Westeros, he'd be the one pulling the strings. I suppose you could probably say the same for Little Finger if he were in Washington.

Book Littlefinger>Underwood>TV Littlefinger. Granted, they haven't really got to any of Littlefinger's best moments in the show just yet, so that may change. Hopefully they ditch the Batman voice too.

Havent read the GoT books, but tv Baelish is a can.

Oh, just wait until season 4's over...

Frank Underwood.

Although, LF in the books gives him a good run for his money.

TV littlefinger aint got shit on Underwood

book Littlefinger is the greatest mastermind ever and would have Underwood begging for mercy

I didn't think about the fact that all that would go down near the end of season 4.

That's going to be a fun scene. If they do it word for word how it is in the book, it will be insane. I'd guess episode 10 for the moon door.

Let's put it this way, Baelish is soon going to play some hands of cards that he has been betting on since before season one.

Episode nine, imo.

Episode nine, imo.

I only assume 10 because Episode nine will be
full of battle at castle black
and Baelish's scene needs some time. I could see the season fading to credit's off the back of the line
"this singer has killed my lady wife." That and the revelation about Jon Arryn would make good season cliffhangers.
