Frank Mir has regained his confidence and is looking for more challenges on the heavyweight landscape, including thoughts of a possible trilogy fight with Brock Lesnar.

"I think I would crush [Brock Lesnar] standing up now," Mir said in recent interview with Fight Corner. "[I

I'd watch it, but I still don't favor Mir in that match up.

Miguel Torres has a pretty strange anecdote; says Mir did pretty much nothing but strike leading up to UFC 100, because he was convinced Brock wasn't going to take him down out of fear of what happened last time. That's why Frank came in so light and agile, ready to fend off Brock's advances, counter and eventually light him up for a TKO.

Uh oh.

He learned how to nullify wrestling? his last fight was vs slow as fuck TRT less post Hunt Bigfoot who didn't shoot a single TD and before that he was getting wrestlefucked and smashed by Barnett, Cormier and Overeem

Depends how much the time off, aging and wear and tear has diminished Lesnar. Certainly, Brock at the time he was getting whupped by Cain or Overeem would still likely smash any version of Mir, though he's always going to be vulnerable to a variety of styles because he's so limited.

Brock has a chin. Mir doesn't have the KO power to knock Brock out or probably hurt him that bad. His best bet is still a submission.

As long as he doesn't eat Brock's strawberries he's good.

He is still obsessed about Lesnar?

It's not obsession. It's about making the biggest PPV in UFC history. With a PPV cut, both he and Lesnar come out like bandits.

Stack
That
Cheese.

Frank Mir wants to eat strawberries again it seems

((I'm a big Mir fan. But nothing at all has shown me he can now stuff a takedown or get on top once it's on the ground))

mir didn't even look good in the first fight until the sub, and got absolutely gorilla'd in the second.

I think Mir would have a better chance now than when they fought the second time simply because he's been active whereas Lesnar hasn't fought in years.

I have ZERO interest in this fight. Brock smoked him the first time and likely would've finished him in a few more seconds if the ref didn't (incorrectly) step in there. And he decimated him in the 2nd fight. Mir's standup may be better now, but Brock will still put him on his back whenever he wants. Trilogies are good when the first two fights were somewhat close.

He's probably right. Lesnar can't be in the same shape he was back then and his technique has to be rusty as hell.
