Frank Mir: Al Iaquinta a much better wrestler/TDD than Conor. Conor only has one predictable weapon

People have known about Conor's "predictable" left since he joined the UFC. Yet he slept the #1 p4p fighter with the first one he threw.

The same goes for Manny Pacquaio, fools have "known" about the left since 2006. Yet he's still sleeping people.

If that punch is so predictable why arent people seeing it? It's because when somebody has one shot that they're so comfortable and good at throwing it doesnt matter if their opponent "knows" about it.
Right, but everyone he's fought has willingly stood with him besides Mendes, who had success early. Khabib isn't going to play his game.

People figured out Pacquiao's left. That's why he hasn't stopped anyone with it in almost ten years.

Mir has been predicting Conor to lose and saying this kind of stuff since he got to the UFC. Just another bitter bum, like Couture.

Even if he’s right, what does it matter? He’s done ok with it so far

It’s as if people don’t even listen to what the fighters say and just assume it’s how TS puts it every time.

Frank was not suggesting that Conor can’t win. In fact, he said NOBODY at LW could take a left from Conor. But that is his only way to win this fight. He isn’t going to grind Khabib over 5 rounds nor is he going to out grapple him en route to victory. His kicking game has never been about power. He’s primarily a boxer, so that is his path to victory.

He said the safe money if he had to bet is on Khabib. He stated why he thinks he will win the fight. He wasn’t bashing either guy, just speaking as an unbiased individual and giving his opinion.

But ya, would assume you or half these braindead morons are right. Frank can’t possibly have an informed opinion. It’s not like he was ever an actual fighter/multiple time Champ etc.

Frank is not wrong, Al is in fact been wrestling all his life. I don't think anyone has even managed to full mount Al before Khabib, and Khabib made it look easy, that's insane.

Connor is leaps and bounds above journeyman Al, who gives a shit who has better technical wrestling. It doesn’t matter. Conor is the much better fighter.
You clearly care about it enough to comment on it...

Agreed on the wrestling point, but Conor has far more than a left hand.

Both his hands and his kicks could be useful if he uses them right, wouldn't be surprised if we saw a lot of teep and oblique kicks

Only two people have figured out Pacs left during his decade long tear, Floyd and Marquez, both HOF best of all time counter punchers. And it took Marquez 4 fights to figure it out. The reason he's had less stoppages, is because he's been slowing down (age) and every single one of his opponents are known for having iron chins on top of looking for that left.

And EVEN then, they're all still getting nailed/dropped with that left.

Obviously Mcgregors is no where near as good as Pacs, but it's the same point. In MMA there are few strikes in the entire sport that are as consistent and reliable as Mcgregors left.

I can’t wait for school to begin soon. All these Conor fans will be going to bed early and unable to post during the day.

Everyone should watch Conor's fights PreUFC/UFC and see how easy he is to get taken down.
Lol lets watch 5 year old fights and judge Conor vs Khabib off that. Or we can reference the holloway fight that actually happened in the UFC. Where Conor boxed up then OUTWRESTLED him on a bum knee. Or the recent Alverez fight where Alverez, who was able to cage fuck pettis, couldnt even get Conor down. Conor actually did a slick clinch break and threw lead elbow coming out of the clinch that landed solid.

Or lets weigh in the fact that Conor has been training 1 on 1 with a no-gi world champ for like 2 years to which no one has seen his ground game used since.

Khabib can definitly smash him and probably will, but I think we'll be suprised with his TD defense before he gasses.

Conor, even with false cofidence, thinks truely he will win and finish khabib. Can khabib be confident he wont get tagged hard coming in? The 1st fucking commited move by Alverez got him dropped by a wicked fast combo, and I can say for sure Alverezs standup is much better than khabibs.

Khabib being so good on the ground is gonna be his downfall, hes never took the time to hone the standup in the cage, now hes facing a longer southpaw who is known for having the best left in the game.

TLDR

Nate Diaz took him down more than once. Little Chad Mendes had his way with him. You're just another gotten to McGregor fanboy.

Frank loves his intricacies of detail of maneuvers.

Frank Mir is comparing a double champion to a part timer... this must be personal... Conor must have refused him an autograph.

How many punches did nate take before that? Mendes the best power double at FW went 40% on mcgregor like 3-4 years ago.....people get better
