Doubt it's even a real category. The power of a punch is easily measured, and in fact I saw Chuck Lidell on Deadliest Warrior and his punch was measured at something like 1400 psi. This was under ideal circumstances like a 5 second set up in his stance, not worrying about getting punched back, bla bla bla.

I agree, but most threads trying to discredit Ngannou and Stipe are thinly veiled hate threads from Fedor fans. Many of his fans are very insecure, and the thought of anyone becoming a potential HW GOAT triggers them big time.

No one ever questions those whacky arm wrestling, tug-of-war, etc. events from fighters in the Pride days, but UFC's punching power test is supposedly bogus hype--even though the technology has been around for quite a well.
