Self explanatory. Is Forrest Griffins victories over Shogun then Rampage the biggest ever UFC back to back upsets?

I remember barely anyone gave him a hope in hell of winning either of those fights.

No one in their right mind would have picked him to win both. There's another question, did anyone honestly pick him to win both? I sure as hell didn't.

What are some other notable back2back upsets?

When Frankie Edgar wins a fight at lightweight I consider it two fights because they are as long as two fights and he is the perennial underdog.

You guys saying Soko's wins were greater upsets than Forrest, or another notable entry?

Wow, just checked out of curiosity and Forrest was around +250 for each of those fights (slightly bigger dog against Shogun). Sokoudjou was +1600 against Lil Nog.

can't understand a person who is Griffin's fan as a fighter; but I agree when you like that human being.

Soku by far. Griffin was at least well known. No one ha any idea who Soku was then he knocks out 2 top 10 fighters quickly.

Forrest wins are equivalent of somebody winning a million on lottery. He could face both fighters again ten times each and not even win one time. He faced a Shogun who was in terrible shape. Then he was close to getting finished more than one time against Rampage but got lucky an managed to damage Rampage leg with one of his kicks.

Yeah, but Forrest beat the #1 LHW in the world and then the UFC Champion back to back.

Randy against Big Tim/Gonzaga were two pretty big upsets at the time. Timmeh was defending his belt for the third or so time against a much smaller, older, retired Randy and Gonzaga earned his shot by KOing Crocop (who was a big name then).

    He destroyed them both Randidly.

    Nice input.

I remember when Randy dropped Timmeh in the first and my lounge room erupting. I didn't sit down until the end of the fight.
