After being heavily criticized for quitting on the stool between rounds in his UFC debut, Rohskopf briefly retired from competition. He appears to be back, running through his Cage Warriors opponent Jeff Creighton.

He was a highly regarded prospect before his infamous UFC debut, with strong wrestling credentials and aggressive submissions. He won the first round against Austin Hubbard in his debut, before gassing badly and getting beaten up in the second.

Do you think we will see Rohskopf back in the UFC?

Some judged him too harshly. His coach was a tool. Still would understand if the UFC just doesn't want this guy. He'll probably really have do a lot to prove himself this time.

Who is the first commentator talking though? Sounds like Vern Troyer or something, lol.

He's talented. There was a reason why he was a big favourite against Hubbard, experienced solid opponent.

I think lots of guys in the UFC isn't as good as some guys outside the UFC. I'm fairly sure talentwise Rohskopf can present problems to a lot of guys in the UFC.

I think being in the UFC or not isn't always dependant on talent or fighting skills so who knows if he will be back.

But people forget he got that fight on a short notice too, like super short notice

Personally, i think it was more to do with his gas tank that he quit, and I happen to think if it wasn't on a short notice and with a little bit more experience, he would've gone on and won the fight.

It's Angela Hill and Jens Pulver on commentary.

Was kinda funny to see Dana white knight the kid in the post fight presser then immediately cut him.

They could easily use this as an angle to have him on the contender series, if he wins and looks good give him another chance.

Not for quite a while. He probably needs to overcome serious adversity in a fight before the UFC would give him another chance.
Yeah he's still only 6-1. Definitely needs a few more wins before even thinking about the UFC.

He has room for redemption but it won't be easy. Roberto Duran had a moment of weakness but he did overcome it and that is what life is all about. We should give this guy an opportunity to prove himself. In the future, he might end up becoming the most badass MMA fighter of all time.

Better never set foot in the octagon again… one of the most embarrassing displays in Octagon history.

<DisgustingHHH>
Too bad he and Kalib Starnes are too many years and weight classes apart. Now that would be a spectacle.

The only mistake Roshkopf made was placing his trust in a coach who did not have his best interest at heart.

There was a female fighter, who came in like Roshkopf on short notice and after one round had basically had enough, and told the Dr. she could not see (knowing the fight would be over) when he had said she could continue.

There was no scrutiny directed at her just like there should have never been any directed at Roshkopf. That fighter did significantly better in her second fight, despite losing a close decision, and has a third one coming up which she has a good shot of winning. Roshkopf very well could have rebounded much like she did had his coach not been a piece of garbage.

His coach was a scumbag when he was released from the UFC for failing two tests, despite only having fought once, and he remains one to this day.

You may notice he makes a jerk-off motion at the camera after the TKO, in a not-so-secret message to his critics.

UFC won't give him another shot until he gets a belt in another Org like CW or Bellator to prove that he really is fully committed again. Too much of a PR risk otherwise.
