Dominic Cummings served as chief adviser to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson from 24 July 2019 until 13 November 2020.

A British politician who was one of the masterminds behind Brexit has offered UFC fighter Nate Diaz some unsolicited career advice.

Dominic Cummings, a British political strategist and former chief adviser to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, suggested that Diaz should not sign a new UFC contract, and should instead wait until UFC President Dana White approaches him to set up a trilogy fight with former two-division champion Conor McGregor.

“Look how they screwed Georges St-Pierre, now waiting for contract to expire,” Cummings tweeted at Diaz on Oct. 17.

Diaz, who has one fight remaining on his current UFC contract, expressed interest in fighting Vicente Luque next. However, Luque’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, doubts the UFC will offer him the fight unless Diaz signs a new deal with the organization.

‘I think the only way the UFC will agree to make this fight happen [is] if Nate re-signs with the UFC,” Abdelaziz told MMAFighting.com. “But I don’t know if this is good for Nate to re-sign with the UFC.

As for Cummings, the strategist was involved in a scandal in May 2020 after it was revealed that he had travelled to his parents’ farm in Durham during the mandated lockdown period while experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. While dozens of Conservative MPs called for his immediate resignation for his noncompliance with public health restrictions, Johnson supported his chief adviser by saying Cummings had acted “responsibly, legally and with integrity.”

Cummings was viewed as adversarial towards the media and was labeled by The Guardian as “the most powerful and the most rebarbative unelected adviser ever to inhabit Number 10.”

“Mr Cummings was a brutal operator who didn’t care who hated him, never displayed a scintilla of self-doubt and blazed with fierce beliefs,” wrote The Guardian’s Andrew Rawnsley.

Its only smart to wait if Conor comes back soon. That being said no way Nate gets the fight with Luque.

This guy has plenty of experience advising UFC fighters. After all he advised Paddy Pimblett

Cummins looking to be the new Ali. His portfolio of being a cunt is on point, would prob do well <Fedor23>

Whilst there's something unsettlingly surreal about Cummings speaking about Nate Diaz, he isn't wrong.

But I still don't like it.

Nate lost the remaining 12 IQ points he had left I see....

Wants to fight Luque....rofl. Luque is a younger, bigger, hungrier and more well rounded version of Masvidal, who made him look like a punch drunk amateur.

Yikes.

Cummings is a Chad believe it or not, despite looking like a Harry Potter character. Although Scottish Marxists and Irish Socialists would disagree, obviously. Wokies, Lefties, Islamists, MSM liberals, and SoyNats, hate him for a reason.

But although I do enjoy how he triggers Scottish Marxists & London Liberals...I disagree with him on the Diaz situation.

Diaz should procure long term financial security ahead of trying to force the UFC into making a fight Conor might not even want yet. Cummings has a risk and reward mindset, but he isnt the one who has to pay Nate's bills.

UFC likely isn't giving him Conor, Or Luque unless he signs an extension. He's on his last fight. So highly doubt they give him a marquee match on his way out the door. If he continues to not sign an extension I expect the UFC is likely offering him fights he dosen't care about under the assumption he'll decline allowing them to extend the time duration off his contract as all they're obligated to do is offer him 3 arbitrary fights a year to hold up their end. And if he does happen to accept one of those whatever fights to end his contract, then it's not going to be a fight that lets him leave the company with tons of hype and fanfare.

Conor needs Nate badly now, though who knows: maybe Cowboy will still be around when he comes back.

Da fuq? This is the most random thing I've seen. Wouldn't have thought he even heard of the UFC

Is there a way to get out of a ufc contract without being cut? Can it expire ? I know they can offer fights and sometimes that counts to extend the contract. Does Nate have any options at all?

Nate needs his own "brexit" from the ufc :D

Also who tf wants to watch diaz vs mcg 3? I would say this guy should stick to politics, but im not sure that would be a good course of action when i read his opinions.
