Minakov is 17-0 and has finished 15 of those 17 fights, he also recently vacated his Bellator championship belt. I am not sure if he is under contract with any other organization but at this point I'd rather see the 31 year old undefeated russian test his skills against the UFC elite over the 39 year old semi retired Fedor. I know I'm going to catch some heat for this because people worship Fedor like some sort of god and I realize he is a big draw; but come on folks Minakov is in his prime, undefeated and I want to know if he is legit or not.

There isn't a Russian quota, they can sign both.

31 yrs old is f*cking young for an heavy weight.

Yes want to see him try on the top15 in the UFC.

Maybe put him Vs Gonzaga, BigFoot first tho

Is it too much to ask for the UFC to sign them both?

I agree with you and I am a big Fedor fan.

I keep forgetting Minakov exists! He really needs a big fight ASAP. For all we know he could be the best HW in the world.

I think Mitrione or Sergei could be decent non UFC watermarks.I know he has had some visa issues in the past.

He fights on June 17 on the same card as Fedor. I'm not sure if he has a multi fight deal with EFN or not.

Oh boy another HW that is injured more often then not.

he did not vacate the bellator belt. they stripped him of it. he is still under contract. i imagine he'll have trouble fighting outside of bellator if it is in the U.S.

He is in a contract dispute with Bellator so the UFC can't sign him. I would like to see him in the UFC though, that's where he belongs.

Fedor/Minakov - Fight Nights Global
Vegh/Volkov - M-1 Challenge
Ivanov - WSOF
Bedorf/Thompson - KSW

What do you base that statement on? I havent heard anything the last YEARS about him being injured.

His inactivity seems to be beacuse of him not getting any fights in Bellator, not injuries.

The fights ive seen of minakov really werent all that impressive honestly

Why would Bellator strip him of his title if they didn't have fights for him?

Fedor isn't some kind of God, Fedor is God

He has been very vocal about wanting to go to the UFC. I think it is pretty obvious he want to get out of his contract.

He is fighting Peter Graham this friday on the same Fedor card. After that he said he was going back to Bellator.

I have no clue what is happening between Minakov and Bellator, but considering Minakov have been taking several fights outside I really don't buy the your statement of Minakov being injured.

wonder why they didnt release him, they stripped him and he says he wont fight for them but they wont release him so he can go to UFC.
